At last, former Cleveland Browns draft pick Anthony Schwartz has found a new home in the NFL.

The third-year wide receiver is signing with the Miami Dolphins practice squad, according to Adam Schefter. Miami is already the team with the most speed in the NFL, they just became faster by adding a guy that ran a 4.27 40-yard dash at the NFL combine.

At roster cutdowns back in August, the Browns parted ways with their former third-round pick. Schwartz’s speed never translated to much on the field in Cleveland. The Auburn product faced a bunch of adversity and criticism, but still showed up day after day.

As a rookie, Schwartz caught 10 passes for 135 yards. Last season, he had just four catches for 51 yards in 11 games.

Cleveland signed Marquise Goodwin to take over the speed role of Schwartz. While Goodwin hasn’t hasn’t been a factor, Cleveland has found other ways to win.

A fresh start may be exactly what Schwartz needs. Signing with the Dolphins practice squad there won’t be any expectations with him and that could be a good thing. Miami is more explosive on offense and if he can get on the field, there could be good opportunities for him in that offense.

Though his time in Cleveland didn’t go well, Schwartz has another chance to jumpstart his NFL career in South Florida.
