It’s a late afternoon kickoff for the Cleveland Browns as they’re on the West Coast taking on the Seattle Seahawks.
Both teams are coming in off of recent wins in Week 7 and looking to keep that momentum churning along. For the Browns, it was a close win over the Indianapolis Colts and the Seahawks took care of business against the Arizona Cardinals.

Can P.J. Walker take a step as the backup?
Through two games played so far, Walker simply has not been good enough for the Browns. Cleveland has found other ways to win but that’s not going to work today. Walker is going to have to be better and perhaps a full week of practice as a starter will help him do just that.
Will the defense bounce back?
Cleveland’s defense had an uncharacteristic game in the narrow 39-38 win over the Indianapolis Colts. Myles Garrett was about the only bright spot in that game on defense. Against the Seahawks, the defense is going to have to get back to its elite ways.
How will the running game look?
Jerome Ford is questionable to play and if he doesn’t go it’s going to be Kareem Hunt getting the majority of the attempts. Seattle is stout against the run, so Cleveland is not going to have it easy in that department.
3 Players to watch
- DE Myles Garrett: Garrett went crazy in Week 7 with two sacks, two forced fumbles, and a blocked kick. Cleveland is going to need Garrett to come through again in Week 8. He’s going to be matching up with a backup tackle, keep your eyes on him.
- WR Amari Cooper: Week 7 was a weird one for Cooper. He had just two catches for 22 yards and wasn’t targeted much. The Browns have to get the ball to their best pass catcher more to have a shot.
- CB Denzel Ward: Seattle deploys a dangerous wide receiver room that is going to test a talented Browns’ secondary. Ward had an interception against the Colts and could see time against DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett.
