Cleveland Browns are back at home in Week 9 after a pair of games on the road.
When the Browns take on the Arizona Cardinals today, they’ll have a chance to move to 5-3 on the season. A win would get the bad taste out of Cleveland after a loss to the Seahawks in Week 8.
On the other hand, the Cardinals fell to the Ravens in their last game and will be trying to avoid two straight losses to the AFC North.

How will Deshaun Watson look in his first game back?
Sure, Watson was back for two drives against the Colts in Week 7. It didn’t last long because he was not ready and took a tough hit. Fast forward a couple of weeks and the hope is that Watson is good to go. There is no time to use the excuse of rust or anything like that. Watson needs to perform when he’s back if he’s that guy.
Can the Browns get to the rookie quarterback?
Cleveland’s defense is getting a crack at Clayton Tune in his first career start. The fifth-round rookie is playing after the Cardinals traded Joshua Dobbs away. If Cleveland can get the defensive line after him, they’ll be in good shape. A rookie going up against Myles Garrett on his blind side is never ideal.
Will the defense return to form?
After a historic start to the season, the defense has looked like it’s taken a step back the last couple of weeks. Bad starts have been a point where they need to improve. With the Cardinals coming to town, Cleveland needs to put together a good defensive performance.
3 Players to watch
- QB Deshaun Watson: Cleveland is dying for at least average quarterback play and they would probably have just one loss. With Watson back, hitting the ground running would be ideal. The Browns need him to perform.
- WR Cedric Tillman: After the Browns traded away Donovan Peoples-Jones, oan pportunity immediately opened for the rookie. Tillman is going to get a solid amount of snaps this game with David Bell out too. It could be Week 9 that Tillman gets it going.
- DE Myles Garrett: I find myself placing Garrett on this list often because you never know what game he is going to take over. He’s looked like the Defensive Player of the Year this season, a strong showing against the Cardinals would be another example of that.
