The Cleveland Browns haven’t had much go well this season during their now 3-12 campaign. Outside of their stellar 2025 rookie class, there’s not much to take from what is a lost season.

Unfortunately, the Browns have lost a standout member of that rookie class to injury during their Week 16 loss to the Buffalo Bills

Browns lose RB Quinshon Judkins to serious injury

Just before halftime, while the Browns were trailing the Bills 20-10, rookie RB Quinshon Judkins went down awkwardly on a check-down pass from QB Shedeur Sanders. Judkins was visibly upset, slamming his helmet, and the Browns wasted no time ruling him out with what is being called a leg injury. After the game, head coach Kevin Stefanski revealed that Judkins had dislocated his ankle and a broken leg.

Cleveland drafted Judkins in the second round at No. 36 overall to be its next franchise back after Nick Chubb. So far this season, Judkins had 805 rushing yards and seven touchdowns in 13 games heading into the game against Buffalo. Despite the Browns’ offensive line woes, Judkins has been a bright spot on a bad offense this season.

The Browns do not have Dylan Sampson or Jerome Ford active against the Bills, so it’ll be Rahiem Sanders manning much of the workload the rest of the way. It’s never good news when players are ruled out right away, and that’s what happened with Judkins. Now, the talented rookie will have a road to recovery to get back in action.
