The Cleveland Browns made a big move at the top of last month’s draft when they traded out of the opportunity to select Travis Hunter.

Hunter was eventually taken by the Jacksonville Jaguars, while the Browns picked up additional draft capital in the process.

One of the surprises of the draft was quarterback Shedeur Sanders slipping to the fifth round, where the Browns ultimately selected him. The Colorado duo didn’t come off the board as early as expected, but they did find homes in the NFL. Now that both players are in the league, Hunter has shared his thoughts on how he and Sanders, in particular, will succeed.

“We’re just going to work, man,” Hunter said recently. “We both have our heads down and are doing what we have to do. There are a lot of doubters out there for him, and he’s going to go to work. I’m going to go to work, and we’re just going to keep doing what we’ve always done.”

Despite being a fifth-round pick, Sanders will have a chance to earn a spot on the Browns’ depth chart. Of course, he still has to make the team, but the opportunity is there. Cleveland may end up keeping two rookie quarterbacks on the roster, as they also selected Dillon Gabriel in the third round. It is possible that the Browns just opt to roll with one as well.

With veterans Joe Flacco and Kenny Pickett already on the roster, the Browns now have a crowded quarterback room. How it all plays out remains to be seen, but Sanders has a real opportunity in front of him—even after sliding in the draft. That’s all anyone can really ask for.
