At the beginning of the season when the Cleveland Browns pounced on the Joe Burrow-led Cincinnati Bengals, it was thought that the Week 18 game could have big implications.

That’s not the case, the Browns are heading to the playoffs despite a season-ending injury to Deshaun Watson. Cincinnati was never able to overcome the loss of a Burrow and will have to watch the playoffs from home.

"Ain't much redemption. They goin' somewhere we ain't goin',” Chase said via Jay Morrison of Pro Football Network. “I mean, I could beat them, but everybody ain't playin'. There ain't really bragging rights."

It is surely a different tone from Chase, who hasn’t backed down from competition when it comes to matching up with Cleveland’s defensive backs. He admitted Denzel Ward is one of the toughest to go up against and that he is elite. He once called Greg Newsome II a good player but not elite, which caused a little bit of a feud.

Back in Week 1, Chase was held to five catches for 39 yards. Back then the Browns had the majority of their starting defense out there, now Chase will have to go up against backups because Cleveland is going to rest key contributors.

Chase very well could go off and it could be a win for the Bengals, but the competitor in him admits that Cleveland holds the upper hand for this season at least.
