Cleveland Browns are now 3-11 on the season after another loss was handed to them in Week 15, this time from the visiting Kansas City Chiefs by a score of 21-7.

With it being a lost season, the Browns have to take small wins when they can get them. The trade for wideout Jerry Jeudy last offseason from the Denver Broncos has proven to be a big win.

Despite the loss to the Chiefs, Jeudy reached a feat that he has been waiting to get to in his NFL career. Jeudy crossed 1,000 yards receiving for the first time in a season with another solid game against the Chiefs.

Jeudy had five catches for 51 yards in the first half against the Chiefs. In the third quarter, Jeudy caught a 20-yard reception in the third quarter that put him across 1,000 yards. In all, Jeudy finished with 11 catches for 108 yards receiving against Kansas City. Jeudy is up to 1,052 yards on the season.

Coming into the game, Jeudy was averaging 72.6 yards per game receiving. The combination of Jameis Winston becoming the quarterback and the Browns trading Amari Cooper to the Buffalo Bills really allowed Jeudy to take off. Jeudy has games of 235 and 142 receiving yards this season and has become a solid No. 1 receiving option.

Cleveland clearly has their No. 1 wide receiver for the future. Jeudy is a problem after the catch and is a great route runner. The breakout wideout always had this capability and it is why the Browns were interested in him for a couple of years before they landed him in a trade.

Jeudy had 972 yards in 2022 and just missed the 1,000-yard mark. This year he is averaging over 16 yards a catch and could be a Pro Bowler.

The 2024 season had been an ugly one for the Browns and offense specifically. Jeudy is something they can take away as a big win for this season and a player they will build around in the future.
