There were not a lot of positives to take away from the 2024 season for the Cleveland Browns. When you finish with a record of 3-14 a season after making the playoffs, things are quite bad.

One thing that worked out for the Browns was last offseason’s trade for WR Jerry Jeudy from the Denver Broncos.

Jeudy’s career year with the Browns in 2024 proved that they made the right trade. At worst, Jeudy is a high-end No. 2 wideout but has the chance to be a clear No. 1 still too. Despite all of the offensive and quarterback struggles in 2024, the Browns’ top wideout still found a way.

The Pro Bowl wideout shared over the weekend just how he got that done in 2024:

"I was just staying me," Jeudy said on how he got it done. "Just staying prepared [and] just doing what I've been consistently doing throughout the weeks and performing to my best on Sundays. Just kept staying me and staying true to myself."

Jeudy had career highs in catches (90), and yards (1,229) with the Browns. Jeudy really took off when Jameis Winston was the starting QB and aired things out. In his return game against the Broncos, Jeudy had nine catches for 235 receiving yards.

Cleveland’s offense struggled between Deshaun Watson, Winston, and Dorian Thompson-Robinson. The Browns will have a new quarterback under center in 2025, which should bode well for Jeudy and his teammates.

A bonus is that Jeudy has proven he can still get the job done with bad QB play. The Browns took a swing with the trade and it worked out for GM Andrew Berry, who has been aggressive making trades as a general manager.
