Cleveland Browns Pro Bowler gives the Baltimore Ravens bulletin board material when he didn’t have to ahead of Week 2

The Cleveland Browns’ passing attack was up and down against the Cincinnati Bengals, but they showed they’ll be able to move the ball down the field with Joe Flacco. Flacco threw two interceptions—neither were well-placed throws, but both hit receivers in the hands and should have been caught by NFL-caliber wideouts. Flacco finished with 290 passing yards compared to just 113 from Joe Burrow, but it still wasn’t enough.

Now turning the page to the Baltimore Ravens, the Browns face an even tougher matchup. Baltimore is coming off a 41-40 loss to the Buffalo Bills after blowing a two-possession lead in the fourth quarter. The Ravens will also be celebrating 30 years since Art Modell moved the franchise to Baltimore, and both teams will be searching for their first win. One Browns Pro Bowler, however, may have done something Wednesday that he’ll regret.

Jerry Jeudy gave the Ravens some bulletin board material ahead of Sunday’s Week 2 game

When asked what challenges the Ravens’ secondary presented, Cleveland’s Pro Bowl wideout didn’t hold back. Confidence is one thing, but giving no acknowledgment to the opponent is rarely a good idea.

“No challenges,” Jeudy said of the Ravens’ secondary.

That’s a bold claim against a group led by All-Pro safety Kyle Hamilton, who has already made big plays against the Browns early in his career. Rookie Malaki Starks, a standout from Georgia, lines up next to him, while Marlon Humphrey has long been one of the AFC North’s top cornerbacks. Nate Wiggins is an emerging young corner, and Baltimore also added Jaire Alexander—who may not have played well in Week 1 but has a proven track record as one of the league’s best.

Jeudy had one drop against the Bengals and another ball he probably should have caught that ended up being intercepted. Cleveland’s top wideout is coming off a 1,200-yard season and his first Pro Bowl, so he certainly has the talent to back up his talk. But the Browns aren’t in a position to be handing out this kind of bulletin-board material. With a tough schedule ahead, and the possibility of starting 0-2 in the AFC North, that should be the bigger concern.
