It’s been years since Johnny Manziel’s short NFL tenure, but he may not be completely done with football yet.

Manziel took to X (Twitter) to say that he is not a draft bust until he officially retires from the NFL, which leaves the door open to him trying to play football again.

It has been since 2015 that Manziel played in an NFL game and that was the second season of his short career with the Cleveland Browns. In 2015, Manziel started six games and threw seven touchdowns, and had five interceptions. Things unraveled late in the season when he decided to take a trip to Las Vegas during a game week and the rest was history.

There was a ton of hype around Manziel coming into the NFL after what he did in college at Texas A&M. That quickly disappeared as he never had his head on straight in the NFL.

Manziel is now 31 years old and has been out of the league for nearly a decade. A shot at making a football comeback is very minimal, you can just about guarantee it won’t happen. Maybe the post on X was just a way to cope for Manziel, who was unfortunately a first-round bust.
