Cleveland Browns are gearing up to take on the Denver Broncos in Week 12 and they’ll be doing it without a Pro Bowl defender.
For the third straight day on Friday, CB Denzel Ward did not practice with a shoulder injury. He will be out in the AFC matchup along with WR Marquise Goodwin (concussion).
In a bit of a surprise, LB Anthony Walker Jr. practiced on Friday after being called ‘week-to-week’ with a hamstring injury. Before today DE Za’Darius Smith (personal) had been out and he returned to practice too. Walker and S Juan Thornhill are questionable to play against the Broncos.
Both of the starting safeties practiced for the second straight day. Thornhill was out last week with a calf issue, but he’s set to return this weekend. Grant Delpit (thigh) will be good to go.
With Ward out, the Browns still have two very talented cornerbacks Martin Emerson Jr. and Greg Newsome II to rely on. Mike Ford will come off the bench, he recorded an interception against the Ravens a couple of weeks ago.
A full injury report for the Browns and Broncos will be here this evening.
