Cleveland Browns’ second day of preparation for the Seattle Seahawks came with a bit of good news.

Both running back Kareem Hunt and tight end David Njoku returned to practice on Thursday. Hunt was dealing with a thigh injury on Wednesday and Njoku was listed with a knee.

Quarterback Deshaun Watson remained out of practice as expected with the shoulder. Left tackle Jedrick Wills Jr. (foot), running back Jerome Ford (ankle), linebacker Sione Takitaki (hamstring), and wide receiver Marquise Goodwin (back) did not practice.

Being able to get Hunt back on Thursday was welcomed news with Ford likely to miss Sunday’s game. The veteran, Hunt, is expected to take the majority of the workload at running back against Seattle with Pierre Strong Jr. as his backup.

Takitaki missed last week’s game against the Indianapolis Colts with the hamstring injury that continues to hamper him.

For this week, there should be no expectation that Watson will practice. Cleveland has not placed the quarterback on the injured reserve, so the shoulder continues to not be viewed as long-term.
