Cleveland Browns are fresh off their bye week and already have some concerns as they prepare for Week 6 of the NFL season.
As the Browns prepare for the 5-0 San Francisco 49ers, they had to do so without a few key players during the first practice of the week.
QB Deshaun Watson, TE David Njoku, and C Ethan Pocic did not practice on Monday. The biggest concern is ultimately the starting quarterback.
Watson did not practice late last week and ended up not playing in the loss to the Baltimore Ravens before the bye week. It was a surprise that Watson did not play, as it was believed he would be able to play with the bruised shoulder.
Following the bye week, Watson was still back inside working and not with the team. That is enough for a little bit of concern.
Njoku was dealing with burns to his face and arm from a bonfire accident. But Njoku still played against the Ravens, one would expect that he is going to be okay.
For Pocic, he left against the Ravens with an ankle/chest injury. After that game, head coach Kevin Stefanski said he was day-to-day.
A full injury report will not be available until Wednesday.
If the Browns are all in they should try to acquire Garett Bolles from Broncos
It would take care of a problem the Browns have.
