Injuries and the Cleveland Browns have been a match made for each other during the 2023 season.

They have some real injury concerns ahead of hosting the Chicago Bears in Week 15 and Thursday’s practice proved just that.

On Thursday, Cleveland did not have C Ethan Pocic, LG Joel Bitonio, DT Jordan Elliott, DE Ogbo Okoronkwo, TE David Njoku, and RB Pierre Strong Jr. at practice.

Pocic is dealing with a stinger that he suffered against the Jacksonville Jaguars last week. With Bitonio not practicing, the Browns are down every starter on the offensive line not named Wyatt Teller on Thursday. The big question for Cleveland this weekend is who will they have along the offensive line.

Along the defensive line, Elliott remains in the concussion protocol and is in jeopardy of missing Sunday’s contest. With DT Mo Hurst already out for the remainder of the season, Cleveland could have to turn to Shelby Harris to take the majority of the snaps with Siaki Ika expected to see his first bit of action soon as well.

At safety, Cleveland is already down Grant Delpit for at least the rest of the regular season. Thornhill still is out with the calf that he tweaked again ahead of facing Jacksonville. Ronnie Hickman, D’Anthony Bell, and Duron Harmon who was recently signed to the active roster.

In good news, RB Kareem Hunt was back at practice on Thursday. Hunt missed Wednesday’s practice with a groin. Denzel Ward has missed the last three games and previewed again on Thursday. It’s looking a lot like he could return in Week 15.
