Cleveland Browns got just the news they needed with still a couple of days to spare before they take on the Pittsburgh Steelers on Monday Night Football.
Safety Juan Thornhill returned to practice for the first time since Sept. 6 on Friday. Thornhill had missed Week 1 with a calf injury and remained out of practice to begin Week 2 preparation yesterday.
Along with Thornhill, a pair of defensive tackles were able to return to the practice field.
Shelby Harris was dealing with an Achilles injury but he stepped foot back on the gridiron Friday. A hamstring was bothering Maurice Hurst, but he too was able to return to practice on Friday.
Siaki Ika remains out for the Browns and is wearing a walking boot. The rookie was inactive in Week 1 and it’s not trending in a good direction for him to play in Week 2 in Pittsburgh.
Cleveland getting Thornhill back with still a couple of practices left before the Steelers’ game is a great sign he may debut on Monday.
