The Cleveland Browns’ 2025 schedule does them no favors coming off a 3-14 season. And with a blockbuster move that Jerry Jones and the Dallas Cowboys just pulled off, things aren’t getting any easier for Cleveland.

In one of the biggest trades you’ll see, the Cowboys shipped star pass rusher Micah Parsons to the Green Bay Packers in exchange for two first-round picks and defensive tackle Kenny Clark. This move comes nearly six months after Myles Garrett’s trade request—a request Cleveland ultimately rejected.

Instead, the Browns held firm with their franchise cornerstone and rewarded Garrett with a four-year, $120 million contract—a deal that now looks like a bargain.

Browns matchup vs. Packers just got a whole lot tougher

Cleveland will face Parsons and the Packers in Week 3. The Browns host Green Bay on Sept. 21 at 1 p.m., and with Parsons in the fold, the Packers’ pass rush is far more dangerous than originally expected. Not only was it surprising that Dallas decided to move on from Parsons, but the bigger shock is that they dealt him to another NFC contender.

Cleveland is set to begin the season with veteran Joe Flacco under center, which may be for the best given the brutal early schedule. The Browns open against the Cincinnati Bengals, then face the Baltimore Ravens, Packers, Minnesota Vikings, Detroit Lions, and Pittsburgh Steelers in consecutive weeks.

The Browns were already going to have their hands full with Green Bay—but now that challenge just got even tougher.
