Myles Garrett is a simple man to please.

The Defensive Player of the Year candidate simply wants to win football games. After the Cleveland Browns' 31-27 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars that involved the use of four different quarterbacks, Garrett said what everyone was thinking when it came to Cleveland's coaching.

He's done a hell of a job," Garrett said of Kevin Stefanski, the Browns' head coach. "He's putting us in a lot of favorable positions, and he's coaching his a– off."

Garrett's assessment of Stefanski to this point in the season is true. With no real No. 1 quarterback and no lead running back, Stefanski has the Browns in a Wild Card position.

Not many coaches could do the same.

Yes, Cleveland has been carried by a defense that plays better at home than on the road. And on Sunday, the Browns did receive a lift from a turning-back-the-clocks performance from Joe Flacco. But it was Stefanski who put the Browns in the right positions to make the necessary plays.

Stefanski, when he was originally hired, was supposed to change the culture of Cleveland. After a playoff appearance followed by a down season, he has returned to his roots of adaptability that makes him a real coach-of-the-year candidate.

Garrett is saying what everyone knows. The Browns haven't had an easy year, yet Stefanski's coaching job keeps making it look like one.
