Things have been looking bleak for the Browns with poor quarterback play and injuries this season. After Deshaun Watson suffered an apparent lower-body injury, the Dawg Pound desperately needed something to get excited about. Dorian Thompson-Robinson will get his shot to help in the second half, but Nick Chubb delivered some hope to the fanbase at the end of the first half.
Chubb scored his first touchdown since the 2022 NFL season, and it was just as glorious as you'd come to expect from Chubb. He followed his blockers, spun out of a tackle, and notched a 1-yard touchdown for Cleveland's first points of the day against the Cincinnati Bengals.
Check it out:
The Bengals have mostly controlled the line of scrimmage in the first half, holding Chubb to a two-yard-per-carry average on ten carries. However, the four-time Pro Bowl running back would not be denied his shot at paydirt in his first game back from injury. If Cleveland is to get anything positive out of the 2024 NFL season, Chubb's return to play is going to be a huge part of it.
