It won’t be the first matchup between the Baltimore Ravens and Cleveland Browns that allows Odell Beckham Jr. to go up against his former team.
OBJ is going to be out in Week 4 against the Browns on the road with an ankle injury. The Ravens’ free-agent addition will miss his second straight game.
So far in two games this season, Beckham has five catches for 66 yards with Baltimore.
In the offseason, Beckham signed a deal worth $15 million that caps out at $18 million with incentives. This came after OBJ sat out the 2022 season after he tore his ACL again in the Super Bowl for the 2021 season with the Los Angeles Rams.
Beckham was able to join the Rams after the Browns released him a few games into the 2021 season. Beckham spent 29 games with the Browns healthy out of a possible 38, he tore his ACL in 2020.
His best season in Cleveland came in his only full season, which was 2019 when he had 1,035 receiving yards in his first year with the Browns.
At 30 years old and having an injury-riddled career, Beckham’s years in the NFL are numbered. It’s not off to a good start in 2023, as he’s set to have missed half of his team’s four games already.
Baltimore hosts Cleveland in Week 10 in November. That’ll be the next chance for Beckham to suit up against the Browns.
Browns just received some momentum going into Week 4 due to Ravens injury report
Cleveland will be the much healthier team in Week 4.
