Training camp is over for the Cleveland Browns and the only thing that stands between them and the regular season is one last preseason game against the Seattle Seahawks.

For the most part, the Browns have most of their roster locked in and know who they will be keeping. This final preseason game is a chance for one last impact for any players on the bubble.

I’ve picked five players who are on the bubble with where things stand and how they can make the team as well.

QB Dorian Thompson-Robinson

I believe that the second-year quarterback has his job wrapped up on the 53-man roster barring a trade offer that the Browns can not turn down. DTR is still a raw quarterback and that has been seen this preseason, but he has shown he is the better option over Tyler Huntley.

In the final preseason game, DTR just needs to continue to operate the offense and limit turnovers. As long as he does those things he will be the third quarterback for the Browns to start the season.

TE Zaire Mitchell-Paden

Cleveland has just two other healthy tight ends that will be on the team between David Njoku and Jordan Akins. The team parted ways with Giovanni Ricci following an injury and that opened the door to Cleveland bringing Mitchell-Paden aboard the 53.

Mitchell-Paden looks more like a football player this preseason and had his best month with the Browns in August. A player who has been on the practice squad in the past finally has a chance to make the 53-man. Cleveland may look to only keep two tight ends on the initial roster, if that is the case then Mitchell-Paden is someone you want on the practice squad.

S D’Anthony Bell

Bell being out for much of the month has hurt his chances and unless the Browns are keeping five safeties like they did initially last year, he is likely the odd man out. Being unavailable in training camp is a big knock and that is what has happened for Bell.

A player who has been with the team the last two seasons after making the team as an undrafted free agent, his time could be coming to an end. Grant Delpit, Rodney McLeod, and Juan Thornhill are locks to make it at safety and Ronnie Hickman is likely the fourth.

WR Michael Woods II

The chance for Woods to make the roster really rides on how many wideouts the Browns keep. In the past, it has been six and as it currently stands, Amari Cooper, Jerry Jeudy, Elijah Moore, David Bell, Cedric Tillman, and Jamari Thrash are all locks. If Cleveland wants to keep a seventh wideout, then Woods just may be that guy.

Woods has come back from a torn Achilles he suffered before last season and looks to be in the best shape of his life. A deep threat with straight-line speed but has some ability after the catch. If Cleveland can get him to the practice squad, that would be ideal.

G Javion Cohen

Cleveland has given their most prized undrafted free agent cycle an extended look this preseason. Cohen should again have that in the final preseason game once the starters exit and it is his final chance to make the roster this preseason.

Cohen is competing against players like Michael Dunn and Zack Johnson for a spot on the depth chart. It is an uphill climb for Cohen and he may be better suited to start on the practice squad first.
