Cleveland Browns’ single biggest decision to make this offseason is on who they decide to bring in at quarterback. The Browns are going to draft one, it is just a matter of who they land.
The Browns may not have Deshaun Watson at all in 2024 and even if they did he has shown he isn’t the franchise guy. Dorian Thompson-Robinson is the only other quarterback on the roster and he will be in a battle to make the team in 2025.
One of the names that has been connected to the Browns is Colorado QB Shedeur Sanders. Sanders is a very accurate quarterback that many folks are split on as a prospect. For the Browns specifically, many wonder if Sanders and his team would be fine with being drafted to Cleveland.
One of Sanders’ college teammates suggested that Sanders was going to be drafted by Cleveland.
"I don't know where I'm going. I'm just thankful for whoever pick me," Sanders said.
That sounds to be an open-minded answer from Sanders as if he is fine with being drafted by any NFL team. The Browns pick at No. 1 and the Tennessee Titans hold the top pick. Both teams are heavily in the market for a quarterback of the future.
Sanders was at the East-West Shrine Bowl this past weekend but did not participate in workouts. The former Colorado standout interviewed with multiple teams there, including the Browns.
In 2024, Sanders completed 74 percent of his passes for 4,134 yards, 37 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions. Sanders’ accuracy has stood out during his college career. While he doesn’t have the biggest arm, he is capable.
The narrative that Sanders wouldn’t come to Cleveland may just be over with this run-in by thr future NFL QB.
