Shedeur Sanders has finally heard his name called during the 2025 NFL Draft.

Once thought to be a first-round draft pick, and even potentially go in the top five picks, Sanders slid and had to watch five quarterbacks get selected before him.

But, now he is officially headed to the NFL.

The Cleveland Browns traded up early in the fifth round, selecting Sanders with the 144th pick. And he took to X, formerly known as Twitter, with a simple reaction after the news.

"Thank you GOD," Sanders wrote.

But that's not all. Sleuths on social media found a post from Deion Sanders from 2018 that has now resurfaced where he spoke about the Browns.

"I love what the @Browns have done this offseason but if im a young QB ain't no way im going to Cleveland. I would pull a ELI MANNING If possible. #ThinkAboutthat #Truth," Sanders posted.

This was a very surprising move by the Browns, especially considering that they already took a quarterback this draft. In the third round, Cleveland selected Oregon's Dillon Gabriel instead of Sanders.

But, now they have circled back.

According to NFL Insider Ian Rapoport, he says Cleveland is using this pick as a lottery ticket, adding more competition into the room.

The Browns quarterback room now consists of Deshaun Watson, Kenny Pickett, Joe Flacco, Dillon Gabriel and Shedeur Sanders.
