The Cleveland Browns have a local musician pitching in to recruit elite talent from around the NFL.
On Wednesday's episode of Travis and his brother Jason Kelce's New Heights podcast, Machine Gun Kelly called in and offered to pay Travis Kelce $500,000 to leave the Kansas City Chiefs and come play for the Browns.
"I will give you $500,000 cash upon arrival just for shopping or whatever you want, as well as matching that same amount as a donation to both of our high schools, both Shaker Heights and Cleveland Heights, as well as everyday breakfast and coffee delivery from my restaurant if you would just come home and put on these colors right here," MGK said.
Travis is a native of Westlake, Ohio. The Cleveland area is a place he's known all too well.
During that same podcast segment, Travis did admit that playing for the Browns was the original dream.
"You know that was the original dream, dog," he said. "You know that was the dream."
But dream or not, a $500,000 offer from MGK isn't going to make Travis leave playing with Patrick Mahomes for the current quarterback dysfunction in Cleveland.
The pull to home may be strong, but winning trounces all. And as long as the Kansas City Chiefs have Mahomes, the franchise will do a lot of winning. But if Travis ever does join the Browns, he'd undoubtedly bring the Taylor Swift circus with him.
Browns must answer quarterback question ahead of matchup with Rams
As the injuries continue to mount for the Cleveland Browns, the position that remains unknown is arguably the most important — quarterback.
