The Cleveland Browns now have a winning streak going with their second consecutive win in Week 7, which came against the Indianapolis Colts.
In a high-scoring affair, the Browns got past the Colts, 39-38. It was the sort of gutsy win that teams need. With that win, the Browns are 4-2 on the season.
Last week after beating the San Francisco 49ers, the Browns were out at No. 14 in the power rankings. Now in the latest NFL power rankings, Cleveland has bumped to No. 13.
Last week: win at Indianapolis, 39–38
Next week: at Seattle“Here are more thoughts on the Browns game. But basically, two things can be true at once: this team can be really good, and they can also have made a historic error at the quarterback position. We are nearing the point where I wonder if it’s not time to bring in someone during the trade deadline under the disguise that Deshaun Watson isn’t healthy, even though head coach Kevin Stefanski said Sunday that Watson would have gone back in if PJ Walker was hurt. Anyway, I am pretty thrilled with my Myles Garrett preseason defensive MVP award pick.” – Conor Orr, Sports Illustrated
P.J. Walker was the starting quarterback against the 49ers and played the majority of the game against the Colts with Deshaun Watson exiting. Walker may have to do some more winning for the Browns, next up for them is the Seattle Seahawks on the road.
