The big win in Week 10 for the Cleveland Browns is already paying dividends.
Cleveland is moving on up in the latest NFL power rankings, after coming in at No. 13 last week the Browns are now No. 9
It was a thriller of a win for the Browns against the Baltimore Ravens, thanks to a come-from-behind effort that was finished off with a 40-yard field goal by Dustin Hopkins. Not many people selected Cleveland to win this one.
“Last week: win at Baltimore, 33–31
Next week: vs. PittsburghI’m not quite there with a few people who I’ve seen describe this as a watershed moment for Watson. I think he made three really good throws on an injured body in the second half, which barely managed to negate a pick-six and an overall abhorrent first half. All that said, it really doesn’t seem to matter as the Browns continue to overcome their offense with a steady running game and a Defensive Player of the Year-worthy performance from Myles Garrett.” – Conor Orr, Sports Illustrated
Deshaun Watson played very well down the stretch for Cleveland and that’s what they will need to reach the postseason and make any run. It won’t be easy in Week 11 either, as it is another big opportunity.
The Pittsburgh Steelers will come to Cleveland on Sunday. Pittsburgh won the first matchup between the two teams back in September in a close one. It was the game that the Browns lost RB Nick Chubb for the season.
Perhaps another win for the Browns in Week 11 will pay off big in the power rankings. But this win over the Ravens shouldn’t be overlooked and Cleveland deserves respect around the league.
