Will the run game pick itself up?

Last week against the Tennessee Titans, the Browns had just 78 rushing yards. It was the first game without Nick Chubb for the entirety, so there was no sure thing to expect. Jerome Ford and Kareem Hunt need to be better this week.

Can Deshaun Watson build off last week?

No way past it, last week was Watson’s best game as a quarterback in Cleveland. He finally showed what you want to see from a franchise quarterback and gave some hope that his play will turn around. If Watson can show some consistency it would be huge for him going forward.

Will the defensive success continue past Lamar Jackson and the Ravens?

Through three weeks, the Browns have the best defense in football. Cleveland will have a tough test against a banged-up offense today because the Ravens still have Lamar Jackson. Containing Jackson and his playmakers Zay Flowers and Mark Andrews is key.

3 Players to watch

  • DE Myles Garrett: Last week was the start of Garrett’s Defensive Player of the Year campaign for the season. With three sacks, Garrett was nothing short of dominant. With Ronnie Stanley possibly out for the Ravens, Garrett could be active again today.
  • RB Jerome Ford: As mentioned, the Browns need to be better with the run game today. That starts with the top running back, Ford, who had just 18 yards in 10 carries. In both of the last two games, Ford does have a receiving touchdown where he adds value in that aspect. If Ford can take a step forward on the ground, it could help the entire offense.
  • LB Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah: Containing Jackson is going to be a point of emphasis for the Browns and that means sealing the edges and taking good angles. Past the defensive line, a player like JOK is going to need to work sideline to sideline to stop Jackson from breaking free.
