It’s that time. Things are set to begin heating up in the NFL this week as the 2024 NFL Combine kicks off in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Teams will begin talking to each other about possible trades and other moves. The combine is virtually known as the place where seeds are planted.
Furthermore, the combine is a place where scouts and front office members get the most in-depth look at prospects. It can be pretty interesting to fans as well.
Watch the NFL Combine on NFL Network
The following days will bring on-field workouts for select position groups.
- Thursday, February 29th, 3:00 pm ET (Defensive Linemen, Linebackers)
- Friday, March 1st, 3:00 pm ET (Defensive Backs, Tight Ends)
- Saturday, March 2nd, 1:00 pm ET (Quarterbacks, Wide Receivers, Running Backs)
- Sunday, March 3rd, 1:00 pm ET (Offensive Linemen)
At the combine, the players will be put through tests like the 40-yard dash and bench press, which both are always of interest to everyone. Draft prospects will do the broad and vertical jump, the 3-cone drill, the 40-yard dash, the shuttle run, and the Wonderlic test.
This week will present an opportunity for us to hear from both Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski and general manager Andrew Berry.
Overall, there were a total of 321 participants invited to the combine this year by the NFL. Even though the 2023 season just ended with the Kansas City Chiefs winning the Super Bowl, we’re nearly to the new league year in March. The combine is a nice little signal.
