As the injuries continue to mount for the Cleveland Browns, the position that remains unknown is arguably the most important — quarterback.

Rookie quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson left Sunday's matchup with the Denver Broncos. PJ Walker stepped in and played as well as anyone could expect from a quarterback in a difficult situation.

But heading into Week 13, it is time for the Browns to break the glass on their emergency quarterback and start Joe Flacco. It's why they brought him in to begin with.

When Flacco first arrived, his presence was one thought to be of mentorship to Thomas-Robinson, who was taking the mantle from Deshaun Watson.

Watson is missing the rest of the season. He isn't coming to save the Browns from their quarterback dysfunction. With no one coming to help the Browns out of their current injury situation, it is time to turn to Flacco.

This situation is the exact reason they brought him. He was Cleveland's insurance, and to not use him in a week where the team has no starting caliber quarterback available would only damage Cleveland's playoff hopes in a crowded AFC North division.

If Flacco was the team's "In Case of Emergency" quarterback, right now is an emergency.

Rams host the Browns at SoFi Stadium on Sunday at 4:25 p.m.
