It was a get-right week for the Cleveland Browns in Week 3.

The blowout win over the Tennessee Titans was much needed after the disappointing loss against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Monday Night Football.

Week 3 served as a complete performance for the Browns in the 27-3 win over Tennessee. The defense continued their dominant start to the season and the offense looks like it may have figured out some things.

In this one, we’re going to start with the winners. There will be some not mentioned, as it was nearly a complete performance.

DE Myles Garrett

A game wrecker. Garrett went wild with Andre Dillard at left tackle for the Titans. The Browns star pass rusher started his Defensive Player of the Year campaign with 3.5 sacks of Ryan Tannehill. Garrett forced a fumble and set the Titans offense back often. When Garrett wasn’t sacking Tannehill, he was causing issues with pressure.

WR Amari Cooper

If Garrett was the best player on the field Sunday, Cooper was second. Cooper finished with 116 receiving yards on seven catches and a touchdown. That includes about 40 yards being wiped out when Cooper was said to have stepped out of bounds, despite not actually doing so. Cooper was unguardable, was able to draw penalties, and provided a sure hand.

QB Deshaun Watson

Week 3 was Watson’s best game as a member of the Browns. Just six incompletions on 33 attempts, 289 passing yards, and two touchdowns. Most importantly, Watson didn’t throw an interception or lose a fumble. It was night and day better than previous games and something to build off of. Watson still made a few head-scratching decisions. One of them was throwing the ball backward while getting sacked, thankfully for him, it was not a turnover.

LB Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah

JOK had himself a very good game and finished with five tackles. Owusu-Koramoah hit running holes to chop down Derrick Henry at little to no gain. In great shape, the Notre Dame product is starting the season very strong.

Now, it’s time to talk about a couple players that did not quite get it done. 

WR Elijah Moore

Nine catches for 49 yards doesn’t really get it done for me. Moore is always going to be a possession guy, but he was brought here to be a weapon after the catch. Additionally, Moore fumbled it once and turned it over. Cleveland’s defense bailed the offense out after that turnover.

LT Jedrick Wills

Wills continues to be an issue at left tackle and he’s getting beat often. The stats show that Wills is off to the worst start in his career. After having a full offseason to get healthy, Wills was one that many hoped would come back strong. He hasn’t.
