The Washington Commanders released the first injury report of the 2023 season and while it's encouraging from an overall standpoint, there are a couple of names in Terry McLaurin and Chase Young that immediately stand out:

Both players were limited in Wednesday's practice. McLaurin is dealing with the toe injury he suffered during the Commanders' earlier preseason matchup with the Baltimore Ravens. Reports indicate that he's progressing well and is considered "day-to-day" with the hope that he can play Sunday. In all, McLaurin's availability remains uncertain, at this point.

Young is also dealing with a preseason injury. He suffered a stinger in the opener against the Cleveland Browns and hasn't been cleared for contact, since. The former first-rounder said Wednesday that he "feels fine", but a doctor has to clear him before he's allowed to get back onto the field. He told reporters on Wednesday that he is scheduling a Zoom call with doctors at some point this week, so he could be back on the field if that goes well.

Milne, a seventh-round pick from the 2021 NFL Draft, sat out Wednesday's practice with a groin injury. The Commanders will need someone to step up as punt returner if he can't go against the Cardinals. The team signed veteran Jamison Crowder to the practice squad on Tuesday, so don't be surprised if you see his name get called in place of Milne. If Milne can't go, obviously.

Arizona had some key players end up on the report as limited, themselves. Starters Kelvin Beachum, Marquise "Hollywood" Brown, and Zach Ertz were held back a bit due to their own respective injuries.

Right now, it seems like McLaurin and Young could play on Sunday. But obviously, we'll see what the rest of the week holds.
