Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones can officially be labeled as a sore loser, and maybe delusional, thanks to some comments he made after his team's blowout loss to the Buffalo Bills this past weekend.
Jones appeared on 105.3 The Fan on Tuesday and he suggested that the weather in Buffalo was the reason the Cowboys lost 31-10 to the Bills on Sunday.
There was some rain throughout the game that both teams had to deal with.
Jones noted that there are usually "perfect" weather conditions in Dallas.
What an absurd and embarrassing comment to make. Sometimes you just have to take the L and move on. Both teams played in the same conditions. And Jones has been in the NFL for long enough to know that December often brings tough weather conditions. It's just part of being a contender late in the season. Sometimes the teams that handled those conditions the best are the teams that make a deep playoff run.
There's also a thing called home field advantage that comes with playing at home — it's not supposed to be easy for road teams. Maybe Buffalo's players are better equipped to handle the tough weather conditions. But if that's the case, then it's just part of that home field advantage. There's a reason NFL games, outside of the Super Bowl and a few international games, aren't played at neutral locations…
The Bills were just better than the Cowboys on Sunday. And the weather is at the bottom of the list of reasons why that was the case. Making bizarre excuses after a loss is a tough look for Jerry Jones.
