The Dallas Cowboys are set to resume work on Friday after a full week of practice, including padded work that began on Tuesday of this week.

It's still way too early to put together a full list of winners and losers but below are four players whose stock is already up early on in camp.

Spoiler alert: Two rookies are on the list!

1. OT Tyler Guyton

Guyton is being asked by the Cowboys coaching staff to "earn" the starting role, having made Chuma Edoga the opening first-team left tackle. Guyton is getting some work with the starters though and on the first day of pads, he sent a message by handling Micah Parsons with ease in team drills.

Now granted, fans should be expecting Guyton to have some growing pains and he will hit speedbumps along the way. Chances are Parsons will get his own highlights against the rookie along camp, as well. But if Guyton is efficiently blocking one of the best defenders in the NFL, chances are that promotion is coming soon.

2. WR Tyron Billy-Johnson

Billy-Johnson is turning heads and standing out from the "rest of the pack" at wide receiver. He's made deep catches, contested grabs, and has shown smooth route running.

"I was with (Billy-Johnson) in Jacksonville," Cowboys OC Brian Schottenheimer told reporters. "The No. 1 thing that jumps off the field is the speed, man. This man can freaking fly (…) But he’s becoming a hell of a route runner.”

The big challenge for Billy-Johnson will be the numbers game. The Cowboys are likely going to carry a maximum of six wide receivers and Bill

3. RB Royce Freeman

This one is more about what we've heard rather than what we've seen from practice videos. Freeman entered the Cowboys as one of the very few free agent signings the team made. Despite being perceived by many as a Ronald Jones type signing and a potential camp body at first, Freeman is earning big-time praise from his coaches.

Mike McCarthy recently raved about his pass protection skills, an area that the Cowboys head coach really emphasizes with his running backs, and added that Freeman "has a chance to be one of our primary players on special teams."

4. CB Caelen Carson

Arguably no rookie on the Cowboys has improved his stock as much as Carson has one full week into camp. The fifth-round draft pick is looking like someone who could contribute right away, making several big plays in practice.

Carson's versatility to play inside and outside should prove valuable to the Cowboys and if he continues with a strong camp/preseason, he should solidify himself as CB4 on the depth chart.
