Biggest Games on the Cowboys' 2024 Schedule
- Cowboys vs Eagles: Once again, the Cowboys are expected to battle out the NFC East with the Philadelphia Eagles, who have taken a very different approach to that of Dallas' by becoming one of the highest-spending teams in 2024. These two will be the biggest matchups of the year and I'm vastly surprised they won't be on primetime, something that hadn't happened in over 20 years.
- Cowboys 49ers: Last year, the Cowboys were punched in the mouth (again and again) by the 49ers at Levi's Stadium. One more time, this game will be perceived as the measuring stick for Dallas. Can they hold on against the elite of the NFC?
- Cowboys vs. Ravens: This might not be the biggest games in terms of the stakes as it's AFC vs. NFC but it's a matchup between last year's MVP (Lamar Jackson) and the runner up (Dak Prescott). It belongs on this list.
Primetime Matchups
Which games will be primetime viewing?
- Cowboys at Giants – Week 4, Thursday Night Football
- Cowboys at Steelers – Week 5, Sunday Night Football
- Cowboys at San Francisco 49ers – Week 8, Sunday Night Football
- Cowboys vs. Texans – Week 11, Monday Night Football
- Cowboys vs. Bengals – Week 14, Monday Night Football
- Cowboys vs. Bucs – Week 16, Sunday Night Football
Which games will you need streaming services to watch?
Thankfully, the only streaming services Cowboys fans will need is Amazon Prime, as their Week 4 TNF vs. Giants will be broadcast there.
Strength of Schedule (based off Vegas win totals, not 2023 record)
Strength of schedule going by 2023 makes no sense in an ever-evolving league that consistently has new teams making the playoffs each year. So instead, will use Warren Sharp's rankings based off sportsbooks' projected win totals for the upcoming season.
In this, the Cowboys rank 22nd (32nd being the hardest), a reflection of facing the AFC North and Texans in interconference play while also dealing with the San Francisco 49ers, Detroit Lions, and Philadelphia Eagles twice. It's noteworthy that the Cowboys have the toughest schedule in the NFC East.

Revenge Games on the Cowboys' 2024 schedule
- Dalton Schultz (Texans) vs. Cowboys: Not only did the team refuse to pay Schultz in last year's free agency, Schultz called Dallas a "zoo" on the Pat McAfee Show and right or wrong, Jake Ferguson will be fired up for that one.
- Dan Quinn and friends: You see, it's not just Quinn. Add former Cowboys coach Joe Whitt Jr. and players Tyler Biadasz, Dorance Armstrong Jr., and Dante Fowler Jr. to the list.
- Kellen Moore, again: Last year, Moore was leading the Chargers' offense. Now it'll be the division rival Philadelphia Eagles. Of course it's one of the top revenge games of the year.
5 Must-watch Matchups
- Dak Prescott vs. Dan Quinn: It's always fun to watch these battles where the sides know everything about each other.
- Micah Parsons vs. Eagles' OL: The Eagles still have the best OL in football despite Jason Kelce's retirement. This should be fun.
- Tyler Guyton vs. Nick Bosa: Especially if this is an early-season game, Guyton will be taken to school by Bosa. Can the first-round pick hold on?
- Trevon Diggs vs. Ja'Marr Chase: Alabama vs. LSU in the NFL. Chase is versatile but doesn't spend that much time in the slot, so we should get a lot of looks into this battle when they play each other. Honorable mention: Diggs vs. Stefon Diggs, a brother showdown in Dallas.
- CeeDee Lamb vs. Derek Stingley: Stingley might just be the best cornerback Lamb could face in 2024, although he won't shadow Lamb as he had two slot snaps in 2023.
