It's a short week for the Dallas Cowboys and that means they've got to go through every NFL team's nightmare: A Monday injury report.

Thursday football is one of the most criticized aspects of the league these days because of injury implications. In terms of health, it's obviously not as easy to be ready for a game within four days as opposed to having a full week to recover. On top of that, it's often that teams playing on short weeks are missing key players who would have a shot at playing in a regular week.

It's a stressful experience for everyone and the Cowboys are going through that entering Week 12 as none other than CeeDee Lamb is on the injury report with an ankle injury. An injury report first comes on Wednesday during a regular week but in this case, it's a Monday report since Dallas is playing on Thursday against the Washington Commanders.

Despite scoring a touchdown, Lamb appeared like he wasn't at 100% at Carolina as he caught six passes for 38 receiving yards on Sunday. There were at least two different instances where he didn't seem comfortable, something I mentioned on my nightly show, A to Z Sports Dallas Primetime.

Particularly, Lamb briefly raised concern when KaVontae Turpin fell on top of him after a late shove for which the Panthers were flagged. After standing up, Lamb seemed to stay still and slowly paced around afterward. Although he didn't miss playing time,  today's update confirms the suspicion that No. 88 was dealing with an injury.

It'll be a situation to monitor closely in the next few days.

"(It) is not of high concern because it's Monday," head coach Mike McCarthy told reporters on Monday. "We'll have a better feel on Wednesday."

To clarify, the Cowboys didn't have a practice on Monday, though. Instead, it was a walkthrough so the report is nothing but an estimation. A standard practice for teams playing on Thursday.

Other Cowboys listed on Week 12's injury report

Running Rico Dowdle and safety Jayron Kearse were estimated as non-participants on Monday. Meanwhile, Lamb and right tackle Terence Steele were both listed as limited. Everyone else was listed as full.
