The year is 2024, and Dallas Cowboys fans are singing the same song that they have been for this entire century.
Take just one look at "Cowboys twitter" and you will see fans ready to storm the star in Frisco, and start a riot with the mantra being "Do something in free agency!"
It has become the "Cowboys way" to draft and develop. Bargain bin shop in free agency and let the draft be the way you fill your needs.
News flash: That strategy hasn't worked, and it will continue to not work.
We have seen teams go "All In" and it worked great for them. Just look at the 2021 Los Angeles Rams. Many tagged them as forfeiting their future for one title run, or being in "cap hell."
Well, guess what, they not only won, but they are currently outspending the Cowboys in free agency.
The team that was in "cap hell" just three years ago, has spent just shy of $150 million in free agency.
That is some kind of "hell."
The worst problem about all this is the Cowboys know what the fans want. Stephen Jones had this to say in a recent interview:
"No one wants it more than we want it. I know our fans want it. Certainly, it's very understanding that there's frustration. Until we go do something about it, we can go win 12 games again next year, but everybody's going to be looking at what are you going to be doing in the playoffs?"

Let's break this down.
The Cowboys know fans are mad, they know they need to do something about it.
So the way they go about it, is by doing absolutely nothing year after year in the period specifically designed to make your team better.
Make it make sense.
Unfortunately, that is something I can't do, the Cowboys are aware of the problem, and have been given examples of how to fix the problem.
Yet, they are still unaware of how to fix the problem.

We caught the Cowboys in a lie.
