As it currently stands the Dallas Cowboys are tied for first place in the NFC East with the Philadelphia Eagles.

Now, we all know the Cowboys had their way with the Eagles last week. But that doesn't mean the race for the division title is over. It is far from it.

In the games the Eagles have remaining they play the Giants twice, the Cardinals, and the Seahawks (this week).

Meanwhile, the Cowboys have a significantly tougher stretch of games to close out the regular season as they play the Bills, Dolphins, Lions and the Commanders. It'll take a huge effort to end up with the division. 

Well, a stroke of good fortune might be getting sent in the Cowboys' direction. Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts was downgraded to questionable on the injury report on Sunday due to a sickness that "worsened overnight," per ESPN's Adam Schefter. The illness even has caused the Eagles to fly the quarterback separately from the team.

The backup for Jalen Hurts is Marcus Mariota, and the Eagles are set to face off against the Seahawks on Monday night football,  which happens to be the hardest team remaining on their schedule. 

As Philly struggles on defense, having a less-than-100% quarterback could surely impact the game tomorrow night even if he does play. 

If the Cowboys can take care of business this afternoon in Buffalo, they just might find themselves in sole possession of first in the NFC East on Monday night.
