Cowboys: DaRon Bland's pick-six vs. Rams carries historical meaning

With his first-half pick-six off of Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford, Bland wrote his name in the history books. He's now the only Cowboy in franchise history to have three interception return touchdowns. It's also something the NFL had not seen since 2019.
Bland has been remarkable in his still extremely young career with the Cowboys. Following Trevon Diggs' season-ending injury, the coaching staff asked him to move from nickel cornerback to outside cornerback. He's delivered big time.
Before the game, I wrote about the challenge the Cowboys' secondary faced against Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua. At the time of this writing, with the Cowboys up 26-3 halfway through the second quarter, it's safe to say they're delivering.
Bland entered Week 8 as the fourth-best cornerback in NFL passer rating allowed. Quarterbacks need to stop putting some respect on his name and straight-up avoid the guy.
Speaking of history, the Cowboys also did something that hadn't been done in the NFL since 2007! Record a defensive touchdown, a blocked punt, and a defensive (special teams) safety.
