The Cowboys did NOT get much better in the 2023 NFL Draft: Film Breakdown
In this film breakdown, we take a look at the Dallas Cowboys 2023 Draft class, a group of solid individual players, but one that doesn’t make the Cowboys too much better in my opinion.
The Cowboys took 2 Michigan players to start the draft. NT Mazi Smith is a great pick, automatically improving the Cowboys run defense. He's a freak athlete, and the exact type of player you want in the middle of your defense. After that, it was TE Jake Schoonmaker, a solid TE, but a also a player with limited upside. They followed with Texas LB DeMarvion Overshown, an undersized LB who was a reach with the 90th pick. They added EDGE Villiami Fehoko, OT Asim Richards, CB Eric Scott, RB Deuce Vaughn, and WR Jalen Brooks in the later rounds.
