The Dallas Cowboys will take on the Miami Dolphins on Christmas Eve during Week 16 of the 2023 NFL season.

Coming into the game, the Cowboys listed several starters as questionable on the injury report, including All-Pro right guard Zack Martin, who was knocked out of the game last weekend against the Buffalo Bills.

Ninety minutes before the game, the Cowboys made it official: Martin is active and ready to go for the game. His presence on the field will be huge as Tyron Smith was ruled out on Saturday.

Cowboys Inactives vs. Dolphins, Week 16

  1. LT Tyron Smith
  2. NT Johnathan Hankins
  3. WR Jalen Brooks
  4. RB Deuce Vaughn
  5. CB Noah Igbinoghene
  6. CB Eric Scott Jr.
  7. QB Trey Lance (emergency quarterback)

The Cowboys will also be down Johnathan Hankins on the defensive line, marking his second missed game of the season. Last week, the Cowboys missed his physicality up front as they allowed 179 rushing yards from the Bills' James Cook.

Another important note is the status of free safety Malik Hooker. He'll play after missing the Bills game with a shoulder injury. Against the Dolphins' speedy offense, having him playing deep will be of major help. Last weekend, his absence loomed large on the Cowboys defense as it forced Jayron Kearse out of his usual role, too.

Dolphins Inactives

As expected, wide receiver Tyreek Hill and cornerback Xavien Howard makes their returns. Right guard Robert Hunt will not play, giving Miami a shaky interior offensive line ahead of this one. Multiple Dolphins starters will be dealing with injuries on gameday. Safety Jevon Holland will also miss the game.
