The Dallas Cowboys are set to host the Cincinnati Bengals for this week's edition of Monday Night Football in a matchup that pits two teams that have nothing to lose in Week 14. With a combined 9-15 record, these are squads that are hungry for a win, albeit limited playoff chances.

Both teams enter the contest banged up and will be missing critical pieces. The Cowboys, for example, will be without right guard Zack Martin, who was placed on Injured Reserve hours prior to the game. The Bengals will be down their top offensive lineman in Orlando Brown Jr. as the left tackle was ruled out on Saturday.

Let's dive into the full list of inactives for the Cowboys and break it down.

  1. WR Jalen Brooks
  2. LB Damone Clark
  3. DB Juanyeh Thomas
  4. DE Tyrus Wheat
  5. RB Deuce Vaughn
  6. CB Andrew Booth Jr.

Trevon Diggs is ready to go

Stephen Jones claimed on 105.3 The Fan that he was "optimistic" that Tyler Guyton and Trevon Diggs would play on Monday and now there's proof for it as both will suit up against the Bengals.

This will mark the first time since September 17th that both DaRon Bland and Diggs have been healthy for the Cowboys defense. Last year, Diggs suffered a season-ending injury late in September and by the time he got back on the field this year, it was Bland missing time with a foot injury. Bland returned to the field in Week 12 and Monday will mark his third game played of the season.

It's been a big time wish for the Cowboys to get their two All-Pro cornerbacks on the field and the timing is perfect, too as the team will face the explosive WR duo of Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins. Expect them to be challenged tonight as Joe Burrow has put up MVP-caliber numbers despite his team's 4-8 record.

Other notes

  • Starting left tackle Tyler Guyton is starting at left tackle and will have a big game against DE Trey Hendrickson.
  • TE Jake Ferguson is active for the first time since Week 11, which will be huge for the Cowboys offense. It also raises some questions about how backups Luke Schoonmaker and Brevyn Spann-Ford will be deployed.
  • WR Ryan Flournoy is once again active after being a healthy scratch last week. He and Jalen Brooks have been competing for that active spot over the last few weeks.
  • DE Marshawn Kneeland is back on the field and the second-round rookie should make an impact in limited playing time.
