Bland was a steal in the 5th round of last year's draft, giving the Cowboys consistently strong slot corner play. He is a fluid athlete, is learning quickly, and shows the potential of a very high ceiling. Here, we break all that down, and show why he's a great fit in Dan Quinn's defensive scheme.

Since starting in the slot in week eight, DaRon bland has four interceptions . With a 90.2 grade on Pro Football Focus, DaRon Bland is the highest graded cornerback in zone coverage this season. Bland does an excellent job at tricking quarterbacks into making throws, closing in, and forcing interceptions . Bland has next level fluidity, allowing him to keep up with any receiver that lines up against him. Bland maintains good control of his body, preventing him from being flagged for pass interference. Bland struggled in covering curl routes early in the season, but has since showed improvement. He does a great job of knowing when the ball is coming to the receiver and playing the ball when it arrives. The Cowboys have quite the combo in Trevon Diggs and DaRon Bland.
