Don't look now but we've got some major-league beef brewing between two players that used to race each other to the quarterback: Micah Parsons and DeMarcus Lawrence.

The latter recently signed a three-year deal worth $42 million with the Seattle Seahawks in free agency, ending his time rocking the silver and navy, something he did during his first 11 years in the NFL.

On Thursday, Lawrence sent a loud message to the Cowboys in an interview with

Brian Nemhauser from Hawk Blogger in which he called out the Cowboys unprompted when asked about the difference between living in Seattle and Texas.

"Dallas is my home, I made my home there, my family lives there, and I'm forever going to be there, but I know for sure I'm not going to win a Super Bowl there," Lawrence said. "So yeah, we here."

The clip quickly went viral and for good reason. For over a decade, Lawrence was considered one of the hardest-playing Cowboys on the team. This very offseason, Lawrence described returning to Dallas as something that would be "glorious."

As a response to the out-of-left-field overhand thrown by Lawrence, Parsons took to social media to fire back.

"This what rejection and envy look like!," Parsons posted on X. "This some clown (redacted)!"

On Wednesday, when news about Lawrence joining the Cowboys broke, Parsons posted "This is my time!" Though not confirmed, many have taken it to believe that the Cowboys superstar was talking about locker room leadership. With Lawrence out of the picture, it's on him to lead the defense.

Honestly, those who have been paying attention to Lawrence's career know that this is what he does. He gets in front of cameras and mics and drops some wild, fiery quotes. It's just that now the Cowboys are his target.

With that being said, Parsons' use of the word "envy" stands out here. While Lawrence is framing this as a "ring chasing" decision, in all likelihood, the Cowboys simply weren't offering as much money. Had it been a decision solely based on getting a Super Bowl win, Lawrence would've likely picked a major contender and not an NFL team with the same betting odds to win the conference than the Cowboys.

And don't get me wrong: It's totally fair to make a decision based on money. Heck, I'd do it as well in his position. But I believe that's what Parsons is trying to imply there. For now, the only thing that really upsets me is that the Cowboys and the Seahawks aren't scheduled to play in 2025.

UPDATE: Well, folks, this is a developing story, I guess. Lawrence responded to Parsons' post with the following message: "Calling me a clown won’t change the fact that I told the truth. Maybe if you spent less time tweeting and more time winning, I wouldn’t have left."
