The NFC East featured two teams in the NFC Championship Game in January and it’s looking like a strong group yet again.

The Philadelphia Eagles and Washington Commanders look like the favorites but the Dallas Cowboys are getting Dak Prescott back and the New York Giants have an exciting rookie in Jaxson Dart waiting for an opening.

It should be a fun season and our writers are celebrating Kickoff day with bold predictions for each team. From a Super Bowl winning squad to rookies of the year and an All-Pro candidate quarterback, let’s dive in.

Commanders: Jaydon Daniels leads Commanders to a Super Bowl win

Commanders win the Super Bowl with +2000 odds (FanDuel). Anything is possible with Jayden Daniels as we learned in his rookie season, and the Commanders went all-in this offseason. Adam Peters traded for a top left tackle in the league in Laremy Tunsil to give Daniels more time to throw, and another weapon in Deebo Samuel for offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury to scheme open. They also spent draft capital on valuable draft picks like Josh Conerly Jr at right tackle, and WR Jaylin Lane as an underrated weapon.

The defensive side of the ball will be where the season depends on, and the Commanders have improved there as well adding Von Miller and Javon Kinlaw, and won the draft with cornerback Trey Amos falling to the 61st pick in the draft. It might have taken a while, but Adam Peters also locked in All-Pro WR Terry McLaurin to pick up where he left off last season. The Commanders have a top QB in the league, and a real supporting cast that can take them all the way to the Super Bowl. – Josh Taylor.

Eagles: Jihaad Campbell wins Defensive Rookie of the Year

The Eagles may have pulled off one of the biggest steals of the 2025 NFL Draft when they snagged Alabama linebacker Jihaad Campbell at No. 31 overall. Widely viewed as a top-20 talent, Campbell slid further than expected and Philly saw their chance and traded up a spot to snatch him.

Despite coming off a shoulder injury, Campbell turned heads during training camp and proved why the hype surrounding his name was real. Eagles reporters on the ground said he dominated every practice and some went as far to label him as “too aggressive,” but that’s exactly what this Eagles defense needs. If early signs mean anything, Campbell’s going to be a problem for all opposing offenses this fall. – Kelsey Kramer.

Giants: Jaxson Dart wins Offensive Rookie of the Year

Dart’s performance this preseason was incredibly electric. Even though he was playing against mostly backups, he flashed tremendous poise, decisiveness, and feel for the game. The way he played was beyond anyone’s expectations, making it clear he’s ready to start at some point this year. This prediction has a significant contingency: Russell Wilson will be the starter at the beginning of the season.

However, with a difficult opening month, it might not take long for the coaching staff to turn to Dart. With the award often going to a quarterback, it wouldn’t take him long to gain ground on his competition. We already saw the national media build buzz around Dart in the preseason. That excitement would explode with multiple explosive regular-season games. – Joe DeLeone.

Cowboys: Dak Prescott re-emerges as an All-Pro candidate

This actually shouldn’t even come off as a bold prediction but in a “What have you done for me lately?” league, it does. In 2023, Prescot finished second in MVP voting, only behind Lamar Jackson. That was with Brandin Cooks as his No. 2 wide receiver. Now, he has CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens running as what they call “co-ones.” As long as the Cowboys’ pass protection holds up, the passing game could be elite in Dallas. Winning MVP seems close to impossible because you need the wins—and I don’t see the Cowboys piling up 13 wins or anything like that—but I could see Prescott emerging as an All-Pro candidate this year. – Mauricio Rodriguez.
