Broncos vs Bengals Early Weather Report

With Saturday's kickoff now at 4:30pm local time in Cincinnati, early weather reports indicate heavy rainfall is possible in the afternoon and evening along with winds between 15-25 mph per 9NEWS' Chris Bianchi.

A rainy game would impact both teams, particularly for each defense. The Bengals have arguably the best passing offense in the NFL with Joe Burrow, Ja'Marr Chase, and Tee Higgins providing an imposing challenge. It'll be much harder for Burrow to distribute the ball to his playmakers when dealing with wind and wet conditions.

Conversely, Cincinnati has one of the worst defenses in the NFL and the rain may help the unit slow down Bo Nix and the Broncos' offense. The Bengals have benefitted from playing subpar offenses in recent weeks such as the Tennessee Titans and Cleveland Browns. Their matchup dependency is crucial towards determining how the day will go for them.

A lot can change in five days time, but for now, Denver should be preparing to battle the elements in a hostile environment if they want to wrap up their quest to make the playoffs. There's still a 3.6% chance the Broncos can secure the 5th seed in the AFC, and it's only possible if they reach 11-6.

Win #10 comes first, and the Bengals and a potential monsoon await the Broncos this weekend.
