The Denver Broncos' best player, cornerback Patrick Surtain, just listed a few guys that he thinks are the best of the best when it comes to matching up with them.
Surtain is a top-three cornerback in the league, so it only makes sense that he guards the best receiver on the opposing side every game. If there is anyone who knows who the best receivers in the league are, it's Surtain.
Recently he went on one of the more popular sports shows today and revealed who he thinks his top three receivers are in the league.
"Top three receivers right now. I gotta go with Davante, Jettas [Justin Jefferson], and Tyreek," Surtain said on the Pat McAfee show.
Last season Surtain played against Davante Adams twice. In Week 4, Adams had over 100 receiving yards, but it certainly wasn't easy. Surtain got his hands on the ball twice with two pass deflections and smothered Adams every chance he got. However, when you are playing the best, they still find a way to make those catches, just like Adams did.
The second time the two played, it didn't end well. Adams walked off the game, beating Surtain deep for a touchdown, and then shouted, "He too young. He ain't there yet! He's not there yet!"
In 2023 the young stud will play all three of those guys; Adams twice. We will immediately see one of the matchups in Week 1 against the Raiders. Hopefully, this time it is different from the last result.
Broncos’ CB Patrick Surtain lands on elite list for second straight season
The Denver Broncos star player finds himself on another elite list for the second time in a row, which has to mean something big.
