Denver Broncos continue to rack up accolades even a week after they're done playing the 2024 season

Despite getting beat down by the Buffalo Bills, the Denver Broncos really had a great season. This was a rebuilding year, and somehow they were able to make the playoffs. That's what happens when you finally find your franchise quarterback, and you have an elite defense, maybe one of the best three units in the league. Oh, and the best pass rush in the league certainly helps, too.
Now, it's time to move onward. There's no time to really dwell on the past, especially not in the NFL, where the Bills have now beat the Baltimore Ravens in the next round and are on their way to play the Kansas City Chiefs, where I'm sure all of Broncos Country hopes they do so, ending the dynasty that Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes have started.
And, really, what the Chiefs have done is what every team aspires to do. To do that, it starts with a great coach. The Broncos have that in Sean Payton. From there, it goes to having great players and leaders, and the Broncos have that as well.
As a matter of fact, they've already had players win a few awards, and we all know what those are without having to list them all. But now they have players who have won more awards, and they come after the Broncos are done playing.
Several Broncos players have received awards from the PFWA.
Broncos players win PFWA awards
The PFWA (Pro Football Writers of America) Awards are honors given annually by the Pro Football Writers of America to recognize players for their performances during the season.
In this case, the Broncos had cornerback Patrick Surtain II, outside linebacker Nik Bonitto, right guard Quinn Meinerz, and returner Marvin Mims Jr. They had the most PFWA's All-NFL team than any team this year.
And, rookie edge rusher Jonah Elliss was selected to PFWA's All-Rookie team.
These players played their tails off this season, so all of the awards are very deserving. Sure, they didn't get the finish they wanted, but this has more than been a successful season.
Bills’ dominant win over Broncos showcases traits that make them a Super Bowl contender
As we all know, it's preseason. This time of year guarantees nothing. But, man, is it hard to be unimpressed with the 42-15 beatdown the Buffalo Bills handed the Denver Broncos on Saturday. It's hard to find any negatives during a performance like this, so pardon me if the following takes tip the scales largely […]
