The Denver Broncos are expected to make a move on one of the most highly sought-after free-agent running backs.

From what we know, based out of camp, the Broncos need another running back. They currently have Samaje Perine as their number-one guy, with Javonte Williams recovering from a brutal injury.

Tony Jones Jr., Tyler Badie, and Jaleel McLaughlin are behind Williams and Perine. That could be a better running back room, and who knows if Williams will be the same.

So, they are expected to go after running back Dalvin Cook. There was once a time when Cook was considered the best back in the league because of everything he could do. He is still pretty good but isn't what he used to be. He and the Minnesota Vikings couldn't see eye-to-eye, and if they can't trade him by the end of Thursday, they are expected to release the four-time Pro Bowler.

According to Adam Schefter, the Miami Dolphins and Denver Broncos are two of the teams expected to be interested in signing him when he is officially released.

This would be a golden opportunity for the Broncos to pounce on.
