The Denver Broncos didn't get very lucky when the schedule was revealed.
Sure, every team gets bad breaks and every team gets good breaks when the schedule releases this time of year, every year. For the Broncos, they were on the side you don't want to be on. As if starting over again with a new head coach after winning just five games wasn't enough, the NFL schedule makers are making it even more difficult for the Broncos to end the 2023 season on a good note.
No other team in the division has three road games in a row, but the Broncos do. In fact, that isn't even the worst part. about all of this.
The Broncos final six games feature four road games. Three of those games are against division opponents, and three of the games are consecutively on the road. I know the Broncos likely won't be great this year, but a schedule like that definitely isn't going to help, not to mention the four primetime games. Meanwhile, you have the Raiders benefiting from their schedule a bit. They have a part of theirs that has them playing three straight home games.
During those three straight road games that goes from Week 13 to Week 15, the Broncos are set to play the Houston Texans, who were bad last yearbut could be much better this year with a new quarterback and some pieces on the defense. Then they play the Los Angeles Chargers, who are always good with Justin Herbet at quarterback. After that they play the Detroit Lions, who are supposed to be one of the better teams in the NFC next year after a great 2022 season.

The Broncos didn't get dealt a very good hand when it comes to the second half of their schedule. But, at the same time, they were dealt a great hand when it comes to some other things, like starting the season with two straight home games, and having a bye week at the exact midway point. This is just something we will have to deal with.
