The Denver Broncos received some tough news on Monday involving their head coaching search. One of the candidates they were very interested in decided he no longer was interested in the job.
That's right, the San Francisco 49ers defensive coordinator, fresh off of a brutal loss to the Eagles, decided he wasn't interested anymore, per Woody Paige of the Denver Gazette.
Paige also added that Ryans was the Bronco's number-one choice.
Now, it seems like everything the Broncos thought was going well with the coaching search, just isn't. It seems with everything surrounding Sean Payton, and now Jim Harbaugh going back to Michigan, it seems coaches just don't want to go to Denver.
In my opinion, I think they are scared away from the Russell Wilson situation. that, and the fact that their draft capital this season isn't great.
But, I also didn't love the hire of DeMeco Ryans. I think he will be an amazing coach for someone, but this Broncos team needs a guy with an offensive mind to help dig them out of the hole they are currently in.
I guess now they just move on.
