The Denver Broncos need to make stark improvements on offense for next season.

A new staff could heavily impact that. Although, roster upgrades will be necessary as well.

In his press conference at the NFL Combine, general manager George Paton addressed running back and offensive line.

Paton said that the Broncos need to address both positions during this off-season.

Paton is absolutely correct. He mentioned the the team expects a strong return from young RB Javonte Williams, but they need insurance there.

It's possible that he doesn't start the season completely healthy. If he does, they need depth to make sure his workload isn't too heavy next season. Williams is still a youthful runner.

On the offensive line, the interior struggled heavily this past season. Injuries made the process more difficult of the unit, but they need more talent along the OL, too.

Garrett Bolles is coming off a major injury, and Dalton Risner is a free agent. An upgrade at center might be necessary going forward as well.

Right tackle is a major need as the Broncos currently don't have a proven starter at that position right now.

Those two needs clearly stand out for Denver for the short and long-term future of the offense. Sean Payton has always valued depth at running back and offensive line upside.

It's great that his GM is backing up his values so far.
